Fall 2008 Recreation League Play

Parents,

Capital City Baseball is now accepting player registrations for our 2008 Fall  recreation league.   Included is a registration  form that you may copy and mail to us with your payment made out to:

You may also bring your registration to the park during the week from 3PM  to 6PM Monday through Thursday.  Registration will end August 29th.
 
League information:

1. There is no draft for ages 4-6 (coach pitch league). You will be

contacted directly by your coach. Practices will start the week
of September 8th.  There will be 2 practices per week for 4 weeks
with games starting the week of October of 6th.  We will conclude
play the week of November 17th.

1. All other age groups - players will attend an assessment session

at dates and times shown on the registration form.  Coaches will
then draft players and coaches will contact players with practice
schedules.  These age groups will also start practicing the week
of September 8th and will conclude the season the week of
November 17th.  

1. The League will supply all players with:  socks, belts, t-shirts,

vest and hats.  Players will be responsible for their own pants
and playing equipment (shoes, bats, helmets, etc..)  The league
will supply catching equipment that must be turned in after each
practice and game by the coaches. Water for players will be
provided by the park in the dugouts for all scheduled practices
and games.

1. Players and parents may bring in outside food and drinks for

practices only.  Once games start- our concession stand will be
open and no outside food, beverages or coolers are allowed in
the park.

1. All practices and games will be held only on weeknights.  Our

park host travel ball tournaments every weekend, which does
not allow for any weekend league practices or games.  The
nights we practice and play will depend on the number of
players/teams we have in the league.  In the past we have played
and practiced by using the park on Monday, Tuesday and
Thursday nights from 6PM to 9:30PM.  We do schedule our
younger age groups for all early games and practices for obvious
reasons.

1. There will be a $1 gate fee for ages 10 and above once the

       League games start.  (Players and up to 4 coaches are free).
(7)  No pets of any kind will be allowed in the Park at any time.
